In 2oo1 Pot Black F.C was in turmoil as Manager Terry Pearce was forced into early retirement through ill health, and following crisis talks for management volunteers, 20 year old midfielder Danny McKinley stepped forward and tossed his hat in the ring on a temporary basis.
In Season 2005/06 following 3 seasons of mid-table mediocracy in division 2, had amassed some influencial signings in the summer break with several youngster mixing well with the clubs already established experienced players, added to the return of the prodigal son as Striker Michael Adjaye finished his 4yrs at Uni, to pull on the Tanagerine Shirts of Pot Black. With the Player blend to perfection, the club battled its way to a glorious Division 2 title sealing the victory in their last game of the season against their league rivals.
In season 2006/07 with Pot Black now playing their football were rightfully belonged, but early confidence was dented by a catalogue of serious injuries, most notably to veteran club captain Kev Sherwood whose season finished in December. With their hopes of survival looking bleak, Black found a second wind and regained their championship form with eight games remaining scraping together the points they craved.
